MAKING A TIE

In contrast to most of the other 200 tie companies in Krefeld, Ascot consciously decided against relocating production to cheaper countries abroad.

The ties are still made entirely or partly by hand – often from fine fabrics such as Italian silk. Cutting, incorporating the lining, folding, ironing, decorative seams and attaching labels – up to 20 work steps are necessary.
