MAKING A KNITTED TIE

MAKING A KNITTED TIE

With this knitting machine (flat knitting) 16 ties per hour are produced in our own production. The ties can be knitted with up to four different colors. The silk thread is previously spooled from 8 individual threads, which means that up to eight different colors (melanges) are possible. After knitting, the ties are sewn together on the back using a plate machine and then stretched on wooden boards for 24 hours. This process gives the tie its shape and does not need to be ironed. Finally, the ends are sewn by hand, a satin ribbon is sewn into the neck section and labels are attached.
